Introduction to the Andean Cosmovision

This workshop looks deeply at the various traditions and symbols that influenced how our ancestors perceived and interacted with Life.  The Andean Cosmovision opens doors to fundamental concepts of wisdom that permeate the people, temples and environment of the Andes.

Duration: 1 hour

Illa Paq: Recognizing the Source

In this workshop we will explore the Andean Cosmovision.  We will bring the dimension of the Invisible into the Visible through ancient teachings focused on the origin of all Life.  Participants will be invited to contribute to the discussion with their own feelings and thoughts related to the application of these teachings to their lives.

Duration: 3 hours

Pacha Tawantin: Experiencing the source

In this workshop we will go deeper into remembering our connection with all of Life.  We will be walking in silent meditation in nature, observing the different sensations and feelings within ourselves.  By connecting with various elements in the surroundings we pass through, we will bring our consciousness to the relationship we hold with all of Life.

Duration: 2 hours

Sacred Sound Healing Ceremonies

Native tradition holds that there are sounds and songs that are printed in our memory–ancestral songs and sounds that serve to reconnect us with the true essence of who we are as well as everything around us.  In these Sound Healing Ceremonies, we call upon the spirit of our ancestors through ancient instruments and various shamanic chants and songs.  As the spirit of the sounds comes through, balance is restored to our mental, physical and emotional bodies, our self-awareness opens and expands, and we experience peace of mind and heart.  This ceremony is a place/time to gather with a collective prayer for ourselves, all our relations and Mother Earth.

Duration: 1 ½ – 2 hours

Traditional Despachos (Earth-Offering Ceremonies)

The ceremony of Despacho or “Offering to Mother Earth” is a traditional ceremony of thanksgiving and prayer.  There are many ways and approaches to performing this ceremony.  The Q’ero Nation is one of the oldest communities in the Andes that maintain knowledge of it.  Working with Q’ero elders, we share one of the most traditional forms of this ceremony.  We strive to make it as close as possible to the way it was performed by our ancestors.  In this ceremony, the sacred Coca Leaf is the key messenger of all our prayers.

Duration: 2 1/2 – 3 hours

Element Ceremonies: Water, Fire, Air, Earth

According to the Ancestral Cosmovision of the world, the four elements: water, fire, earth and air are considered Grandparents.  Our lives are sustained by their presence, both internally and externally.  In these ceremonies we make ritual offerings to honor and thank the elements and to invite the Spirits that live within them to cleanse and purify us.

Duration: 1 hour

Dance/Movement Workshops

Time and space is given to exploring our own bodies through a variety of movements.  Participants learn how to listen to their own rhythm by allowing their bodies to move from an authentic place.  This workshop is based on different techniques such as yoga, aikido, the five rhythms, contemporary dance, massage, meditation and breath exercises.

Duration: 2 hours

The Condor’s Prayer Program

In this three day program, we share various rituals and traditions from Peru with the intention of healing and praying for our lives.  Included is a talk on the Andean Cosmovision, a Despacho with Q’ero elders, a plant medicine ceremony, a sacred tobacco ceremony, sacred fire rituals and a Sound healing ceremony.

 Duration: 3 days

Women’s Workshop

The female world is governed by mystery.  Over time, rituals and ceremonies have allowed women to connect with the feminine universe.  With the Moon and the Earth as our guides, we are able to access our unique divinity.  This workshop invites women to pray, connect, heal, and open doors to the strength of their own power through different activities, meditations, rituals and ceremonies from Peru and other parts of the world.  It is a time of sharing and learning as a community of women.

Traditional Ancestral Plant Healing Ceremonies

These rituals are used for therapeutic and healing purposes.  Depending on the illness (body, mind or emotion) different plants are used for the treatment.  Before a healing ritual is conducted an initial evaluation is necessary, followed by special preparations.

Individual Healing Sessions

We offer different treatments to relax and harmonize the mind, body and spirit.  Each session lasts approximately 1-2 hours.

  • Reiki: Through the use of this Japanese healing technique, universal energy is transferred to the person that is receiving through the hands of the Reiki practitioner.   This energy can be given for physical, mental or emotional healing purposes.

  • Relaxing Massage: Using different massage techniques and essential oils, the body of the receiver is induced into a deep state of relaxation.

  • Thai Massage: This system of massage and assisted stretching was developed in Thailand.  It is most often performed on the floor, with the client wearing comfortable clothes that allow for movement.  No oils are used.  The receiver is positioned in a variety of yoga-like positions, with deep rhythmic pressure forming the core of the massage.
  • Shamanic Sound Healing: Using different shamanic elements from Peru, Peruvian ancestral instruments and songs, energy is harmonized for the benefit of the receiver.  This healing technique is extremely powerful in accessing and resolving the roots of various ailments.
